About the movie

Mario is a romantic drama film directed by Marcel Gisler about two young football players who get caught up between the politics of the game and the politics of love and their growing feelings for each other, in a sporting world where image is everything.

For the first time in his life, Mario is in love. Head over heels. With Leon, the new guy from Germany. Leon is a striker too, and the question is: Who will make it onto the first club team? But Mario does not want to think about that. He wants to feel Leon, smell him, be close to him. This does not go unnoticed in the club, and the first rumors appear. Mario sees his career as a professional soccer player in danger, but does not want to lose Leon for anything in the world. He needs to make a decision. What will it be? Will he choose his career or Leon?
